Windows theme signature is relaxed to accept third party themes. System is ready to accept 3rd party themes. DO NOT PATCH AGAIN!!!
Telemetry has been completely removed. Not deactivated but completely removed, comms, modules, tasks, services everything. NO ETL logs will ever be created on this OS.
This Windows is optimised for SSD’s. so Readyboot and prefect has been disabled. If you’re on a HDD, after installation, run regedit from start menu, scroll down to the following key:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management\PrefetchParameters]
then set the parameters as follows
“EnablePrefetcher”=dword:00000003
This will enable prefetch which will help your applications to launch faster. Prefetch is useless on SSD’s and Windows deactivates it on SSD’s by default.
If you don’t use Aeroglass, you can turn it off from Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Task Scheduler
November monthly Rollup for 8.1 doesn’t include anything significant so next update to this Lite OS will come in December Incha’ALLAH.
It will be more optimised, more feature rich and efficient. It will also include “exclusive” Windows 10 theme ported for Windows 8.1 by me.
