Gnome Partition Editor (GPartEd) Live is a hard disk partition manager for creating, deleting, resizing, moving, checking and copying file systems and hard disk partitions, while GPartEd allows you to perform operations such as resizing, copying and relocation without loss of data on them.

GPartEd is designed as a LiveCD and can work with partitions created in Linux, Windows and Mac OS X.
Supported file systems: ext2, ext3, ext4, FAT16, FAT32, HFS, HFS +, JFS, NTFS, ReiserFS, Reiser4, XFS.
GPartEd allows you to easily manage disk partitions:
- Creating a partition table (for example, MS-DOS or GPT).
- Create, move, copy, resize, validate, label and delete sections.
- Enable or disable sections flags (for example, boot or hidden).
- Alignment of mebibyte sections (MIB) or to traditional cylinder boundaries.
- An attempt to rescue data from lost partitions.
GPartEd works with the following storage devices:
- Hard drives (such as SATA, IDE and SCSI).
