The player can play a large number of audio formats, such as AAC, FLAC, SND, WMA, and if you install plug-ins (yes, you can use the program to greatly expand the capabilities of the program), then foobar2000 can play various other audio formats. Full support for unincode is also built in. The program uses their new format called m3u8 to work with playlists, and support for reading APEv2 tags from MP3 files.
