RasterVect – A program for converting raster images to vector, for processing in vector editors, such as Corel Draw, TrueCAD, AutoCAD and others. Since full-fledged vector editors can not work with raster images, this tool will seem useful to them.
The program has extensive capabilities. With the help of the wizard, you can quickly convert any raster image into a vector one-bit format.
The program supports the import of a large number of graphic raster formats, among them: JPG, JPEG, JPE, BMP, DIB, RLE, TGA, TARGA, VDA, ICB, VST, PIX, PXM, PPM, PGM, PBM, TIF, TIFF and others. Perfectly recognizes various arcs, curves, circles, necessary for working with vector images.
There is also support for the TWAIN interface, thanks to which many types of scanners are supported for work.
The program has a lot of filters, with which you can simplify the process of editing the output, as well as to improve the quality. Unfortunately, the program is deprived of the support of the Russian language, but I think the designers who need this program will be able to easily understand it.
In the screenshot above you can see the work of the wizard for converting a bitmap image into a vector image.
When converting, most importantly, the original image scaling is preserved. And with the help of filters, as mentioned above, you can improve the image quality at the output.
