YUMI-exFAT 0.0.0.1 – Multiboot USB Creator
YUMI-exFAT is the successor of MultibootISO. It can be used to create a Multiboot USB Flash Drive that contains multiple operating systems, antivirus utilities, disk cloning, diagnostic tools, etc.
Contrast MultiBootISO which uses grub to boot ISO files directly Next from USB, YUMI uses syslinux to boot extracted distributions stored on a USB device and switches to using grub to boot multiple ISO files from the USB, if needed.
In addition to some distributions, all files are stored in the Multiboot folder, which makes up a nicely organized Multiboot Drive that can still be used for other storage purposes.
With the exFAT version all files are stored in the Multiboot folder, making up a nicely arranged Multiboot Portable USB Drive that can still be used for other storage purposes.
Although YUMI was originally intended to be used to host and run the “LIVE Linux” Operating Systems and various tools from USB, Using YUMI to install Linux from USB to Hard Drive works with most distributions. If you find a distro where the installation is not working please let me know.
